Dr. Thomas Lee
Dr. Lee graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 1984. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology in 1971 and Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in 1974.
He has completed post graduate training at the UCLA Medical School Chronic Pain Centre and published early acupuncture studies in 1981. His post graduate education includes endodontics (root canals), prosthodontics (implants, crowns) and esthetic dentistry.
He has received awards from the American Society of Dentistry for Children, the BC Society of Orthodontists, and is a member of the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Society, awarded for academic excellence.
Dr. Lee is a member of the BC College of Dental Surgeons, the Canadian Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Canadian Association of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.
He is a founding member of the Canadian Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and of the Canadian Academy for Esthetic Dentistry. Dr. Lee is a sustaining member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is one of only three dentists in BC to be awarded a Fellowship in the International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics.
Dr. Lee has a particular interest in natural-looking cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He enjoys spending leisure time with his wife Diane, and their son and daughter, as well as cycling and reading.
Dr. Maureen Piché
Dr. Piché graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia in 2007. Prior to her dental degree, she completed her undergraduate studies at the College of New Caledonia in Prince George, and Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario and received her BSc in Biology in 2003.
Dr. Perzan has worked in Guatemala and the Dominican Republic providing much needed dental care for the underprivileged.
Dr. Piché grew up in Prince George, and recently moved to the lower mainland from Saskatchewan, where she worked in Rosedale and Saskatoon. Her interests when not practicing dentistry are running (having just completed her first marathon), gardening, camping, her two dogs, and her husband Kirk and new daughter.
Erin Erin is a registered Dental Hygienist, graduating from the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene in 2008. She was also a Certified Dental Assistant training at the Bellingham Technical College ( 2001), before continuing in her education in Dental Hygiene.
Erin has worked at the Peninsula Dental Centre since 2001. She is extremely skilled at putting patients at ease with her kind and caring manner and is a great motivator and educator.
She spends leisure time watching movies, reading and taking long walks. As well, Erin loves people, enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends.
Claire Claire is a Certified Dental Assistant (Vancouver Community College 1998) with more than 10 years experience and a member of the B C Certified Dental Assistants Association.
She possesses excellent clinical and communication skills, which is of great importance when making patients feel comfortable and at ease during treatment.
She works closely with Dr. Piché and is superb in treating children.
When she’s not working she enjoys time with friends, has a passion for running, and being with her husband and two children.
Gayle
Gayle is a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), and a member of the BC Certified Dental Assistants Association.
She is Dr. Lee’s primary assistant and has worked with him for 7 years. She notes that, “My smile is a result of his quality dentistry.” She enjoys her work and excels in ensuring the comfort of our patients through her supportive and attentive manner. She is particularly skilled in the fabrication of temporary crowns with a keen eye for detail having obtained her certification as a prosthodontic assistant. She grew up in Saskatchewan and has lived in BC for 9 years. She enjoys the outdoors, hiking, camping and traveling with her family.
Melanie
Melanie is a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) and graduated from Vancouver Community College in 1993.
She has also received postgraduate training in anaesthesia and uses local anaesthesia in her practice when necessary. Prior to her certification in dental hygiene, Melanie worked as a certified Dental Technician making crowns and bridges. She uses this experience to educate patients on the benefits of replacing missing teeth and repairing weakened teeth as part of their ongoing dental care. Melanie lives in Tsawwassen and enjoys outdoor activities with her family.
Robyn
Robyn is a dental receptionist with 10 years experience.
Her bright smile and light manner alleviates stress and her sense of humour brightens the day. She responsibly handles the correspondence between our office and your insurance company (estimate of your treatment plan etc.) as well as other managerial duties. Robyn lives in Langley and her hobbies include photography and gardening.
Serena
Serena is a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), and a member of the BC Certified Dental Assistants Association.
Together with either Dr. Lee or Dr. Perzan, Serena is the primary dental assistant involved in the recare (recall) appointments of children. The attention and quality of care Serena gives to children is very special and appreciated by both the children and their parents. In addition, she is primarily responsible for the daily laboratory work, such as preparing impressions and study models. Serena lives in Fort Langley with her family and enjoys cooking, reading, traveling and walking.
Susan
Susan is a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) and graduated from Algonguin College (Ontario) in 1980.
She has also received postgraduate training in anaesthesia and uses local anaesthesia in her practice when necessary. She regularly attends conferences and postgraduate courses pertaining to her field, continuing to advance her skills. Susan is a strong advocate for empowering patients to improve their own dental health and takes the necessary time to teach patients how to look after their teeth and gums for a lifetime. Susan enjoys her time with her family and has multiple interests including cooking, hiking, boating, snow and water skiing, walking, golfing, entertaining and traveling.
